This app was created out of a love of holiday magic and neighborhood spirit. Our mission is simple: bring people together to discover, share, and celebrate the best Christmas light displays around.

This idea sparked back in 2014 in Rapid City, South Dakota, when Seth and Brittany found themselves driving around with their 8-month-old baby in the backseat, trying to catch as many Christmas light displays as possible before bedtime. With limited time and no easy way to plan the best route, Brittany thought there had to be a better way! Fast forward to 2025, and what started as a family night out has evolved into a community-driven app that helps families everywhere discover the magic more quickly.

Through the Tour de Lights mobile app, you can explore local displays submitted by neighbors, add your own hidden gems, and rate displays to help others find the brightest spots in town. Whether it’s a house glowing with synchronized music or a quiet cul-de-sac that feels straight out of a snow globe, every stop tells a story, and no display deserves to go unnoticed.
